Perfect Your Applications with Professional Grant Reviews
Grant applications in animal welfare are incredibly competitive, with only about 10% of applications to the major national funders receiving awards. A professional grant review can ensure your applications are as polished as possible. Reviews can also help you understand why applications are declined, so you can improve them next time.Â
With our Grant Reviews, you'll get the following:
- Review of one full grant application (with attachments) and one or two additional documents (LOIs, Impact Reports, Budgets). Up to 3 documents total, maximum 30 pages.Â
- Documents reviewed asynchronously for the following:Â
- Funder alignment
- Analysis of grant application language and sections, including strengths and areas for improvement
- Assessment of attachments such as project/program budgets
- Overall competitiveness, quality, and storytelling
- 3-5 priority suggestions for revision
- A written grant review and a video walkthrough of your submissions explaining the findings (both sent to you by email).
- Follow-up email support for questions directly related to your completed grant review for 21 days.

Who is this for:
- You’re an animal nonprofit actively pursuing grants, looking to make your applications as competitive as possible.
- You’re a freelancer or consultant looking for feedback on your work from another grant professional.
- You want specific and actionable ideas for how to improve what you have already created.Â
Limitations and Specifications (See Terms and Conditions for more detail):
- Grant reviews are limited to items that can be submitted as PDFs.Â
- Grant reviews cover one full application (with attachments) and up to two shorter applications or documents, such as LOIs. The price is the same regardless of the number of reviews submitted, and you must submit all items for review at the same time.Â
- The maximum number of pages for review is 30. Please contact Grants 4 Animals prior to purchase if you have a question about this.Â
- We are currently happy to review corporate, private foundation, and state-specific government grants. We do not currently review federal grants submitted through grants.gov.Â
-
Grant reviews provide an overall assessment of grant applications but do not include line-by-line proofreading and editing. There are many digital tools available for basic spelling and grammar review. The purpose of our grant reviews is to provide strategic and educational suggestions to strengthen the content of your grant applications.
