Kickstart Research Block

Grant research (sometimes called prospecting) is one of the most time-consuming parts of your sustained grant campaign. Kickstart your work by having Grants 4 Animals do the research for you!

With our Kickstart Research Block, you'll get the following:

  • An intake questionnaire so we can get to know your nonprofit and find the best possible grants. 
  • A comprehensive research block conducted by the Grants 4 Animals Team using three paid databases and web research.
  • A video, phone call, or Zoom session after the research block to discuss findings and recommendations (20 minutes average). 
  • A research sheet (Google Sheets/MS Excel formats) specific to your organization with all the findings, ranked by priority and a narrative list of suggestions. We are currently averaging 30+ prospects delivered to clients per Research Block.

Value: 

  • This service uses three paid databases, including Foundation Directory Professional. Subscribing to these databases for one user for one year would cost over $1900.
  • Contracted grant writers and researchers have hourly rates ranging from $40 to $150 (sometimes more). This is a multi-hour research block with follow-ups, making it an incredible value for the price.
  • Many of the grants recommended will be $5,000-$50,000 (depending on your size, mission, and programming). Earning just ONE grant as a result of this research block will pay for this product.  

How it Works: 

1. You purchase the offer.

2. You or someone from your organization completes a Google Form intake questionnaire (sent via email after purchase).

2. Grants 4 Animals will contact you with any follow-up questions from your form and give you a timeline for the research (usually 14-21 days). 

3. We will reach out with any questions as we complete your research block. 

4. Once the research is complete, you can choose to receive a video with the results, have a phone call, or schedule a Zoom meeting. 

5. You will receive a customized spreadsheet and narrative recommendations for grants over the next 12 months. The ownership of this document will be transferred to someone in your organization. 

Please note that if you do not currently have a 501(c)(3) or do not have a robust, fiscal sponsorship, the number of grants available for your organization will be limited. In those cases, we recommend that you contact Grants 4 Animals before purchasing this product. This product is intended for nonprofits based in the US who are seeking grants for US work. (If you're interested in international options, please reach out before purchasing this product.)

Finally, please be aware that you will be prompted to create a username and password after purchase. This is because many of the Grants 4 Animals products require access to the exclusive Grants 4 Animals online library. This Customized Research Block does not, but by setting things up now, you'll have a username and password if you ever choose to purchase additional products or services from Grants 4 Animals.

This product includes the Grant Research Sheet Template, which is the intellectual property of Grants 4 Animals LLC. By purchasing this project you are granted license to use the template for one nonprofit with which you are affiliated.

Refund Policy:

Since this service involves hourly work by staff, it is non-refundable.

It is the intent of Grants 4 Animals LLC to provide services and products that help as many animals and animal-related nonprofits as possible.

If the customer has concerns after purchase but before the research work begins, they should immediately contact Grants 4 Animals staff.
